1.  Is there a submission fee?

There is no fee to submit your poems.

2.  How many poems/pages may I submit?

Submissions are limited to three pages of poetry.

3.  What is the deadline?

      Deadline is received by August 1, 2015.  

4.  How can I submit my entry?

Snail mail is prefered to Patti McAlpine, Contest Coordinator, P.O. Box 9206, Pawtucket, RI 02862. However, if in fear of missing deadline, e-mail submissions will be accepted up to 5 p.m. on August 1, 2015 to mcalpine.patti@gmail.com.

5. Should contact information be included on the poetry pages or submitted separately?

If you have already submitted your poems with contact information on the poetry pages, we will still accept. However, prefered contact information with a brief bio be on a separate cover letter.

6. When will winners be announced?

There will be three winning poems selected. Winners will be contacted by phone or e-mail. Winners will be announced publicly at a Poetry Celebration in Pawtucket with the “The Three Amigos” on Sunday, September 13, 2015 during the Pawtucket Arts Festival. Winners will then have the opportunity to read their winning poem during that event.  Details of the Poetry Celebration will be announced on this website soon with location and directions.
